Falcons patch up secondary with Fudge

The trade with Denver for Domonique Foxworth wasn't the only move to the defensive secondary the Falcons made Tuesday. Atlanta also claimed safety Jamaal Fudge off waivers from Jacksonville.

To make room for Foxworth and Fudge, the Falcons released cornerback Blue Adams and fullback Corey McIntyre.

Fudge was with Jacksonville when Atlanta coach Mike Smith was the defensive coordinator there. Fudge likely will start out as Atlanta's fourth safety, but he probably will play right away on special teams.
