When it comes to age, NFC South teams either are going old or young and nothing in between.

NFC West colleague Mike Sando, our resident rocket scientist, crunched the numbers. As of Sunday night (and it should be noted rosters are still in flux), the Saints were the league’s second-oldest team. Their average age was 27.99. The Redskins were the league’s oldest team at 28.02.

The Falcons (27.39) came in at No. 10.

On the flip side, the Bucs and Panthers are among the league’s youngest teams. The Bucs (26.46) ranked No. 28 and the Panthers (26.39) came in at No. 29.
