The NFL’s trading deadline comes Tuesday at 4 p.m. ET, but don’t sit around expecting something big.
There was only one minor trade on the day of the deadline last year, but it did involve an NFC South team. The Buccaneers sent a fifth-round pick to Kansas City for defensive end Alex Magee and a sixth-round pick.
Other than that, the NFC South has been quiet on deadline day in recent years. You have to go back to 2007 to find the last deadline trade of any significance in the NFC South. That’s when the Buccaneers sent a sixth-round pick to Kansas City in exchange for defensive end Michael Bennett and a seventh-round pick.
