NFL Power Rankings: Falcons climb

Despite a 62-point outburst (which easily could have been 80 points if Drew Brees wasn’t pulled early), the New Orleans Saints sat still in the latest edition of the ESPN.com Power Rankings.

They’re still No. 3, behind the Green Bay Packers and New England Patriots.

But it wasn’t status quo for the Atlanta Falcons and Tampa Bay Buccaneers this week. The Falcons took a big jump up after a win in Detroit and the Bucs tumbled following a loss to Chicago.

Atlanta moved up five spots to No. 14, while Tampa Bay fell five spots to No. 17.

With a victory against Washington, the Carolina Panthers moved up two spots to No. 23.
