Guess who leads NFL in dropped passes?

11/22/2011

We’re not going to start this one off with Atlanta’s Roddy White, because he is coming off his best game of the season. Instead, we’ll start off with team drops, because that also is a significant issue in the NFC South.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are tied for the league lead in dropped passes, according to ESPN Stats & Information. The Bucs and St. Louis Rams each have 22 team drops.

Mike Williams is the biggest culprit for Tampa Bay. He now has moved into a tie for second in the league in individual drops with seven. But Williams has had plenty of help from his teammates. Receiver Arrelious Benn and tight end Kellen Winslow each have dropped four passes, which puts them in a tie with a bunch of players for No. 10 in the league.

Going back to team drops (and this is where White will come into play), the Falcons have 19, which ties them for No. 4 in the league. White is the NFL’s individual leader in dropped passes with nine.

The Saints are tied for No. 15 with 13 drops. Tight end Jimmy Graham leads New Orleans with four drops.

The Carolina Panthers also have 13 drops. Steve Smith leads Carolina with four drops.
