Halftime thoughts on Saints, Panthers

I’m set up in Tampa, where I’m watching the games between the New Orleans Saints and Minnesota Vikings and the Carolina Panthers and Houston Texans.

We’ve got some very interesting things going on in both games. The Panthers are up 21-0 and, so far, their defense has played very well. We’ll see if that continues in the second half.

The Saints are in a bit of a tight one with the Vikings. The Saints have a 21-13 lead, but they haven’t helped themselves. Tight end Jimmy Graham fumbled early to set up a Minnesota field goal and the Saints tried an unsuccessful onside kick that gave the Vikings good field position to start a touchdown drive.

I’ll be back with wrap-ups on both games as soon as they’re over.
