Where they rank on offense, defense

The weekly rankings for offenses and defenses (through Sunday’s games) are out and the New Orleans Saints continue to lead the league in total offense.

The Saints are No. 1 in passing and No. 9 in rushing. On defense, the Saints are tied for No. 24 overall. They’re No. 13 against the run and No. 28 against the pass.

The Atlanta Falcons are No. 13 in total offense. They’re No. 18 in rushing and No. 9 in passing. On defense, the Falcons are No. 9 overall (fourth against the run and No. 17 against the pass).

The Carolina Panthers are No. 5 in total offense (No. 5 in rushing and No. 10 in passing). Defensively, the Panthers rank No. 23 overall. They’re No. 25 against the run and No. 18 against the pass.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are No. 20 in total offense (27th rushing and 18th passing). On defense, the Bucs are No. 30 overall (30th against the run and 26th against the pass).
