ESPN’s John Clayton and Adam Schefter report that Houston defensive coordinator Wade Phillips has pulled out as a candidate to be Tampa Bay’s next head coach.

Phillips had been scheduled to interview with the Bucs on Friday, but decided he will remain with the Texans for at least another season.

The Bucs reportedly have already interviewed Marty Schottenheimer, Mike Sherman, Brad Childress and Jerry Gray. But a league source said that’s not the complete list of candidates and indicated some others might already have interviews or could be interviewed in the future.

The Bucs have said they will be thorough in their search and they have no timetable for having a coach in place.
