Rosters don’t have to be down to 75 players until Monday afternoon, but the Atlanta Falcons got the process start Saturday evening as they made a series of roster moves.
No major surprises, but the Falcons waived tight end Chase Coffman, linebacker Max Gruder, kicker Erik Folk, running back Richard Medlin, fullback Lee Meisner, defensive end Louis Nzegwu, receiver Kenny Stafford and tight end Aaron White.
The Falcons also reached injury settlements with defensive tackle Elisha Joseph and cornerback Darrin Walls.
Also, as expected, the Falcons went ahead and placed offensive tackle Will Svitek on injured reserve.
