For the second time in a week, a key member of the Atlanta Falcons has been charged with a crime.
A police official said Abraham refused to exit the scene when law-enforcement officials were called about a woman threatening to jump from a building in Atlanta. The official said the charges are misdemeanors.
“We are aware of the news regarding John Abraham,” the team said in a statement Monday night. “We are in the process of gathering more information and we will have no further comment at this time.”
The police official said the woman did not jump and was taken to a local hospital. Reportedly, Abraham repeatedly was told to leave the scene, but did not.
I would expect Abraham to play in Sunday’s home game against Carolina because team officials are likely to let the legal process play out.
