This probably won’t save their season, but the New Orleans Saints aren’t sitting still.

Adam Schefter reports the Saints have worked out former Cleveland and Seattle quarterback Seneca Wallace.

I don’t think the Saints are looking at Wallace, who has had only moderate success as a starter, as a guy that can come in, replace Drew Brees and suddenly put the team on the path to the playoffs. The Saints haven’t signed Wallace, but they might.

If they do, it will be as a backup. The Saints have Chase Daniel as the only other quarterback on the roster. Daniel had a nice preseason this summer and knows the offense well, but has played only sparingly in regular-season games.

The Saints also announced they have re-signed receiver Greg Camarillo and released cornerback Elbert Mack.
