- Scott Fowler writes that the formula for a Carolina win is not to ask quarterback Jake Delhomme to carry the Panthers to victory. Fowler also points out that formula can work against the Tampa Bays of the world, but not many other NFL teams.
- Jeff Duncan has a good synopsis of how good the Saints were on Sunday and how great they’ve been all season. They have never trailed.
- Gary Shelton writes that it’s time for the Bucs to turn things over to rookie quarterback Josh Freeman. He’s saying go with Freeman on Sunday in London against the Patriots. I’ve been thinking all along the Bucs would turn it over to Freeman after they came back from London and go through their bye week. But I’m no longer sure there’s much sense in waiting.
- Mark Bradley starts off by recalling the disaster that was going on the last time the Falcons played on national television (see Bobby Petrino and Michael Vick). But he goes on to point out how different the current-day Falcons are. They were far from spectacular against the Bears, but they were good enough to grind out a win.
