There have been a few positive developments on the injury front in the NFC South on Wednesday.

New Orleans running back/return man Darren Sproles and Tampa Bay cornerback Eric Wright each took part in practice.

Sproles has missed the past two games with a broken hand. Although Pierre Thomas, Mark Ingram and Chris Ivory have provided solid play out of the backfield in recent weeks, the New Orleans offense is much more diverse when Sproles, who also is an outstanding receiver, is in the lineup.

Wright had to leave Sunday’s win against San Diego after he aggravated an Achilles tendon injury. The Bucs don’t have a lot of quality depth at cornerback, and having Wright in the lineup Sunday at Carolina would give the secondary a big boost.
