No big surprises as the Panthers announced their injury report. Left tackle Jordan Gross (concussion) is out and right tackle Jeff Otah (ankle) is listed as doubtful.

If John Fox is listing Otah as doubtful on Friday that means he's out, barring a miracle. So it looks like the Panthers will have to face the Chiefs without their two starting tackles. If you're looking for a bright side, here's two: It's the Chiefs and Jared Allen is no longer with them.

No question this is a blow to the Panthers, but they've got enough depth to survive it. Left guard Travelle Wharton, who was the left tackle last year, will slide outside to Gross' spot. Geoff Hangartner will be inserted at left guard and Jeremy Bridges, who has some starting experience, will start at right tackle.
