The latest NFL stats are out, so let’s take a look at where the NFC South teams rank on offense and defense.

The New Orleans Saints continue to have the league’s worst defense. They’re No. 32 overall (No. 32 against the run and No. 30 against the pass). The Tampa Bay Buccaneers aren’t far behind. They’re No. 30 overall (No. 1 against the run, but No. 32 against the pass).

The Atlanta Falcons are No. 18 in total defense (No. 21 against the run and No. 15 against the pass). Believe it or not, the 3-9 Carolina Panthers have the division’s best defense, at least statistically. The Panthers are No. 14 overall (25th against the run and No. 8 against the pass).

Offensively, the Saints have the division’s best ranking. They’re No. 6 in total offense (27th in rushing and third in passing). The Falcons are No. 9 in overall offense (No. 28 in rushing and No. 4 in passing).

Tampa Bay is No. 14 in total offense (No. 11 in rushing and No. 12 in passing). The Panthers are No. 18 in overall offense (No. 16 in both rushing and passing).
