Panthers on pace for No. 5 draft pick

Perhaps the only reason to watch Carolina down the stretch is to find out where the Panthers will be picking in the 2013 NFL draft.

As it stands right now, the 3-9 Panthers would have the fifth overall pick. They’re one of three 3-9 teams and they currently would lose out to the other two on tiebreakers, according to ESPN Stats & Information. But the Panthers are only one game behind 2-10 Kansas City and Jacksonville, so they’re in the mix for the top overall pick.
