Tampa Bay rookie running back Doug Martin will be going to the Pro Bowl.
San Francisco running back Frank Gore is headed to the Super Bowl and not the Pro Bowl. That means Martin, a first alternate, will take his place on the NFC roster in Honolulu.
Martin finished the season 1,454 rushing yards, 11 rushing touchdowns, 472 receiving yards and one receiving touchdown. His 1,926 yards from scrimmage ranked third in the NFL. Martin will join defensive tackle Gerald McCoy and receiver Vincent Jackson as Tampa Bay's representatives in the annual all-star game.
