NFC South blog taking to the streets

METAIRIE, La. -- I’m in town to cover the "Monday Night Football" game between the Saints and Falcons. That presents a bit of an issue, but I think I’ve got it all worked out.

There’s only one NFC South game today. That’s the Panthers at the Cardinals and it’s not being shown on television at my hotel. The big late-afternoon game is obviously the Packers and Vikings and Brett Favre's Mississippi roots make it only slightly less popular in these parts than Drew Brees and anybody with Manning as a last name.

However, I’ve checked around and I’ve found a restaurant within walking distance that tells me they’ll turn the Carolina game on for me, although I might be sitting in a room by myself. I’ll be checking in from there with observations on the Panthers.

If the wireless is good, I’ll also jump into our NFL Nation Live talk, once the Panthers and Cardinals get started.
