Larry Holder reports that New Orleans running back Chris Ivory, a restricted free agent, visited the New York Jets on Friday. Ivory is part of a crowded backfield with Pierre Thomas, Mark Ingram and Darren Sproles. If the Saints, who don’t have a second-round pick due to their punishment in the bounty scandal, could add a draft pick in place of Ivory, it would be a good move.

In his own blog, Tampa Bay cornerback Eric Wright reflects on the process of restructuring his contract and said the Bucs have given him assurances he won’t be traded.

Mike Garafolo reports that the Buccaneers are not interested in quarterback Mark Sanchez as part of a potential trade with the Jets for cornerback Darrelle Revis. There was another report that Sanchez had been discussed during the trade talks. I’m sure his name was thrown out there by the Jets because they would love to dump his guaranteed salary of more than $8 million. But it would make absolutely no sense for the Bucs to take on that salary.
