The Panthers just announced that linebacker Thomas Davis as a torn anterior cruciate ligament and will miss the rest of the season.
That’s a huge blow to a team that has plenty of other problems. Davis had been arguably the best player on Carolina’s defense this year.
The Panthers do have some decent depth at linebacker and can turn to veterans Landon Johnson and James Anderson or second-year pro Dan Connor.
