Let's take a look at the top headlines from around the NFC South:

ATLANTA FALCONS

D. Orlando Ledbetter has defensive tackle Jonathan Babineaux at No. 7 on his list of the top 25 Falcons. Babineaux has been productive for a long time, but he’s 31 now and you have to wonder when he’ll start slowing down. The Falcons aren’t loaded with depth at defensive tackle.

CAROLINA PANTHERS

Bryan Strickland has an overview of the situation at cornerback. Things are jumbled here and there are no clear-cut starters. I see Captain Munnerlyn, Josh Thomas, Drayton Florence and Josh Norman as the top candidates to start.

NEW ORLEANS SAINTS

The Times-Picayune ranks tight end Jimmy Graham at No. 2 on its list of the top New Orleans players. That sounds about right. Graham didn’t have a great 2012 season as he led the league in drops. But he was playing with a wrist injury that I think was worse than we ever knew. Graham’s healthy now and should bounce back.

TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS

Roy Cummings writes that the Bucs could have two rookies in the starting lineup. Johnthan Banks will compete with Eric Wright for a starting cornerback spot. Although he wasn’t drafted until the fourth round, Akeem Spence appears to have a good chance to start at nose tackle.
