METAIRIE, La. -- I’m wrapping up my time at the New Orleans Saints’ facility and getting ready to catch a flight back to NFC South Blog headquarters. But there will be plenty more coming on the Saints when their Camp Confidential profile runs Saturday.

In the meantime, let’s check in on some odds and ends from around the division:
  • Much has been made about the aggressiveness New Orleans rookie safety Kenny Vaccaro has displayed so far in camp. He was involved in a play in Saturday’s scrimmage on which receiver Joe Morgan was injured. The team said Wednesday that the injury will end Morgan’s season. After that news came, teammates Drew Brees and Marques Colston defended Vaccaro and said he is just doing his job.
  • Speaking of aggressiveness, the Carolina Panthers went lightly in practice Wednesday after several players were involved in a melee during Tuesday’s session.
  • As expected, Adam Schefter reports that Atlanta right tackle Mike Johnson will miss the season after suffering a leg injury Tuesday. At the moment, that leaves second-year pro Lamar Holmes as the likely starter. But the Falcons could look to bring in a veteran alternative.
  • Mark Cook reports that Tampa Bay senior offensive advisor Jimmy Raye is on medical leave after having back surgery, and his future with the team remains unclear.
