TAMPA, Fla. -- One area where the Tampa Bay Buccaneers haven’t been very good is yards after the catch (YAC).
The Bucs have gained only 791 yards after the catch, according to ESPN Stats & Information. For context, the Denver Broncos have almost 1,000 more yards after the catch (a league-leading 1,780 yards). The Bucs rank No. 31. Only San Francisco (768 yards) has fewer yards after the catch than Tampa Bay.
There’s no doubt the Bucs miss wide receiver Mike Williams, who was lost to a season-ending injury. Vincent Jackson is the only Tampa Bay player among the top 90 in the league in yards per catch (he's 29th at 14.8 yards per catch).
Jackson ranks 39th with 231 yards after the catch.
