As the Falcons prepare to face the Green Bay Packers on Sunday, Douglas stands just 94 yards shy of his first season of 1,000 yards receiving. He leads the team with 66 receptions and averages 13.7 yards per catch.
"It's huge,"' Douglas said of being on the verge of reaching 1,000 yards. "But at the same time, I'm a team guy. I do everything I can to help us win, no matter what it is. If I have to go out there and throw my body around, I'm going to throw my body around. It doesn't matter, really."
Douglas already surpassed his single-season career high of 498 receiving yards in 2011. In fact, the former third-round pick had 1,508 total receiving yards over four seasons entering the 2013 campaign.
"Getting 1,000 yards, it's going to mean a lot," Douglas said. "But that's not my focus. My focus is on this team, winning this game against Green Bay, and finishing off the season strong."
Douglas might not reach the milestone Sunday at Lambeau Field, but he still has four games remaining to reach 1,000.
