Carolina quarterback Jake Delhomme (broken finger) didn’t practice. As you would expect, coach John Fox said Delhomme is day to day. But I’d be totally shocked if Matt Moore's not the starter Sunday.
The Falcons already have declared quarterback Matt Ryan out with a toe injury. But they’ve got lots of other problems. Running back Michael Turner (ankle) sat out Wednesday’s practice. Guard Harvey Dahl (ankle) and receiver Michael Jenkins (knee) also sat out.
Wide receiver Michael Clayton (knee) was the only member of the Buccaneers not to participate in at least some part of practice.
The Saints didn’t take the practice field Wednesday as they recovered from the Monday night game. Coach Sean Payton said the only new injury was cornerback Randall Gay (hamstring).
