Abraham

One of the smartest moves Atlanta coach Mike Smith has made this year (and he's made many) has been his handling of veteran defensive end John Abraham.

Smith has moved Abraham around and limited his snaps in an effort to maximize his opportunities as a pass-rusher. That's worked to perfection. Abraham just recorded his third sack of the day against the Raiders. That gives him 10 for the season and is the fourth time in his career Abraham has hit double-digit sacks.

His career high was 13 in 2001 with the Jets. With half a season to go -- and more than a quarter left against the woeful Raiders -- Abraham could end up having the best season of his career.
