Hey, the Bucs and Panthers are dominating the league in one category. Too bad it’s not a positive one.

When it comes to false-start penalties, nobody’s got more than Tampa Bay right tackle Jeremy Trueblood. He has seven, which ties him for the league lead with Arizona’s Levi Brown.

But Trueblood can’t get too comfortable because Carolina right tackle Jeff Otah is within easy striking distance. Otah’s one of a bunch of players tie for third in the league with six false-start penalties, according to ESPN’s Stats & Information.

On their list of the 58 players with at least three false-start penalties, Carolina tight end Jeff King is on there with four. Carolina center Ryan Kalil also makes the list with three, the same number as Atlanta wide receiver Roddy White.

For the record, there’s not a single New Orleans player on the list.
