Carolina running back Jonathan Stewart has been named the NFC’s Offensive Player of the Week, the NFL announced Wednesday afternoon.

Stewart ran for 109 yards and scored two touchdowns in Sunday night’s victory against Minnesota. He became the first player to rush for 100 yards against Minnesota since Green Bay’s Ryan Grant did it on Nov. 11, 2007 – that was more than two years ago.

This is the first time Stewart has been named Player of the Week.
