MIAMI -- ESPN’s Sal Paolantonio has reported that Indianapolis defensive end Dwight Freeney is expected to test his injured right ankle by about 4:30 p.m. ET.
Stay tuned on this one because the possible absence of Freeney likely would have a big impact on the game. If Freeney plays, the Saints likely will have to give offensive tackle Jermon Bushrod lots of blocking help from the tight ends, running backs and fullbacks. If Freeney doesn’t play, the Saints probably still will give Bushrod some help, but they wouldn’t have to devote as much blocking attention.
