In yet another sign that Deuce McAllister's time with the Saints is coming to an end, the veteran running back has been declared inactive for Thursday night's game at Chicago.
McAllister was excused from Wednesday's practice because of a death in his family, but he's with the team in Chicago. He just won't play. McAllister's role has been limited most of the season and Pierre Thomas has emerged as the main complement to hybrid running back/receiver Reggie Bush.
Also inactive for the Saints tonight are left tackle Jamaal Brown, who the Saints already declared out with an ankle injury, receiver David Patten, safety Terrence Holt, defensive end Rob Ninkovich, defensive end Tearrius George, defensive end Josh Savage and quarterback Joey Harrington.
