PHOENIX -- Although he's going to his first Pro Bowl, I still don't think a lot of people understand how big a part of Atlanta's offense Roddy White has become.
He's going against Arizona's vaunted receiving corps on Saturday and everyone knows the Cardinals like to spread the ball around. The Falcons don't. When they're throwing, there's a good chance they're going to White.
Thanks to ESPN Stats & Information, here's a breakdown of how the Falcons and Cardinals have used their receivers.
| Arizona Balanced, Atlanta All White | | Anquan Boldin and Steve Breaston have done a better job than Larry Fitzgerald bringing in passes. The 385 passes attempted to the three Arizona receivers are the most of any trio in the playoffs. | | Arizona Cardinals | | Player | Thrown to | Rec | Comp % | Pct of team's Att | | Larry Fitzgerald | 152 | 96 | 63.2% | 24.1% | | Anquan Boldin | 124 | 89 | 71.8% | 19.7% | | Steve Breaston | 109 | 77 | 70.6% | 17.3% | | Note: Boldin played four fewer games | | Atlanta Falcons | | Player | Thrown to | Rec | Comp % | Pct of team's Att | | Roddy White | 141 | 88 | 62.4% | *32.5% | | Michael Jenkins | 74 | 50 | 67.6% | 17.1% | | Jerious Norwood | 54 | 36 | 66.7% | 12.4% | | * Most of any receiver in the playoffs. | | Note: Pct. of team's Att is pass attempts divided by receivers thrown to stat. | | |
