As we mentioned earlier, Atlanta offensive tackle Todd Weiner retired Thursday. Injuries to other players caused the Falcons to use Weiner more than they wanted last season and he gave them a solid year, starting 11 games.
But that wasn't as easy as it sounds. As Daniel Cox explains in detail, it was painful and difficult for Weiner to even get on the field near the end of his career. Give Weiner tons of credit for his toughness and also give a little credit to Atlanta's medical and training staffs for making it happen.
