Panthers still lead race for No. 1 draft pick
By Pat Yasinskas
As it stands right now, the Carolina Panthers would have the No. 1 pick in the 2011 draft, if the season ended today.
Courtesy of ESPN Stats & Information, here are the rules about how draft order works.
The draft order goes from worse to better won-loss record, with ties broken by strength of schedule (team with “easier” schedule picks first) and then applicable conference/division tiebreakers. These projections are as of the result of the Sunday night game and could change depending on what happens on Monday night.
