Your call: Is Andersen first-ballot material?

Now that he's been selected to the New Orleans Saints Hall of Fame, there's a bigger question on the horizon for Morten Andersen: Does the kicker belong in the Pro Football Hall of Fame?

Let's change the scope on that a little more and make it: Does Andersen deserve to go in on the first ballot when he's eligible in 2013? (Remember that vote will take place in New Orleans during Super Bowl week).

I'll say yes. I'm the first to say kickers and punters should be held to a different standard. But you can make a pretty strong case that Anderson, who spent large chunks of his career with the Saints and Falcons, is the best kicker ever (he holds 12 NFL records). When a guy is the best ever at something, he should be in the Hall of Fame.

That's my take, anyway. Let's hear your call. Hit the comment section below or the mailbag.
