The New Orleans Saints, who already have more than enough wide receivers, just signed another one.
The Saints just announced they have signed D'Juan Woods. He's spent most of the last two seasons on Jacksonville's practice squad and did appear in one regular-season game. Woods will have to make an impact on special teams to have any shot at sticking on a roster that already includes Marques Colston, Lance Moore, Devery Henderson, Robert Meachem and Adrian Arrington.
To make room for Woods, the Saints released quarterback Patrick Cowan, who was signed as an undrafted free agent in early May.
