Time to head to the polls

A couple of reminders to get out and vote, if you haven’t already.

We made the debut of “Call It’’ on Wednesday and asked you to vote on which quarterback Carolina should take in the draft. As of 5 p.m. ET Thursday, Cam Newton had a pretty comfortable lead with 47 percent of the vote. Blaine Gabbert was second at 24 percent and Ryan Mallett third at 11 percent. The “other’’ category had 18 percent.

Also, New Orleans fans might want to head over here to cast a vote for Drew Brees to be on the cover of “Madden NFL 12." He’s up against Adrian Peterson in this round and I’ve got a hunch Sam Huff and everyone he ever has met is over there voting for Peterson. As of late Thursday afternoon, sources tell us Peterson was leading with 63 percent of the vote, while Brees was at 37 percent. As a matter of fact, you can watch a video update of the "Madden NFL 12'' voting right here.
