Report: No damage to Matt Ryan
By Pat Yasinskas
Atlanta quarterback Matt Ryan underwent an MRI on Monday that did not reveal any damage to his knee or ankle, a team source told ESPN’s Adam Schefter. The Falcons have a bye this week and coach Mike Smith has given his team the rest of the week off. Ryan isn’t expected to miss any time, the source said.
Ryan went down in Sunday’s victory against Detroit after getting stepped on by offensive tackle Will Svitek.
Ryan left the game briefly and Chris Redman filled in for two plays. But Ryan returned and finished the game.
