SAN FRANCISCO -- Atlanta media relations aces Frank Kleha and Matt Conti have been working frantically during halftime. They’re flipping through record books because the Falcons have had an historic first half.
So far, we know this much, thanks to Kleha and Conti:
The 35 points are the most ever scored in a first half by the Falcons. The 340 yards of total offense may be a franchise record. It’s clear that the Falcons haven’t done it since 1991, and the team is checking with a statistics service to see if the record holds before 1991.
Also, the 185 receiving yards by Roddy White are a career high. White’s previous high was 164 yards against the Saints last year -- and he still has a full half to go.
