Live from Bank of America Stadium

By Pat Yasinskas

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- I’m settled into Bank of America Stadium for Thursday night’s game between the New York Giants and Carolina Panthers.

It’s very quiet and mostly empty right now. I see what appear to be a couple of New York linemen loosening up on the field. Carolina quarterback Cam Newton also just walked out and is kneeling under a goal post and appears to be praying.

The big pregame story will be the status of Carolina running back Jonathan Stewart. He has an ankle injury and hasn’t practiced this week.

I should get word on Stewart's status anywhere from 90 minutes to an hour before kickoff. As soon as I get the list of inactives, I’ll be back with an update.
