Good omen for Falcons?
By Pat Yasinskas
Here are some numbers that should be very encouraging for fans of the Atlanta Falcons.
Quarterback Matt Ryan completed a league-best 68.6 percent of his passes in the 2012 season. That’s the 13th best completion percentage in history for quarterbacks that have thrown at least 300 passes.
Of the 12 other quarterbacks with better completion percentages, seven won conference championships and four went on to win the Super Bowl.
Ryan, who completed 422 of 615 passes, joined Drew Brees (in 2011) as the only quarterback to attempt 600 passes and have a completion percentage above 68.
