Film of the NFC South chat

By Pat Yasinskas

Let’s take a look at some of the team-by-team highlights of Friday’s NFC South chat:

ATLANTA FALCONS

Falcoholic (ATL): Pat, with all the talented rookies and free agents the Falcons have brought in, do they only have room for two Qb's? Davis is a lock right?

Pat Yasinskas: I think Davis is a lock. My guess is they might keep only two and try to get Renfree on the practice squad.

Chris [via mobile]:  Do you see the Falcons bringing in Richard Seymour or anybody else to bolster the D-line since the season has started?

PY: Seymour isn't happening. Could see them grabbing someone that gets released somewhere else.

CAROLINA PANTHERS

Will (Winston-Salem):  So as long as he stays healthy, Luke Kuechly is a pro-bowl lock. What about DPOY?

PY: If he plays like he did last night, he could be a Hall of Famer.

Gary (Houston, TX):  Hey Pat. Watching the game last night the first team O-line didn't look great and the depth has taken some hits. Do you see some players being brought in once roster cuts begin?

PY: I think it's a pretty safe bet that the Panthers will be bringing in an offensive lineman or two. They need to do something with that o-line.

NEW ORLEANS SAINTS

Matt (Pensacola):  Thoughts on the Saints defense so far?

PY: Looked very good against the Raiders. But let's remember that it was the Raiders.

Sean (Vegas): I hate to say this, but Saints DL looks pretty good. Hicks, Jenkins and Jordan can be there for the next 5-6 years or more. Am I drinking the kool-aid?

PY: Little too early to say for sure. But I especially like Jordan in the 3-4 scheme.

TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS

Darin (Louisville, Ky):  Hey Pat, so im gettin a lil nervous about the lack of production from the Bucs first team offense.. Do I have good reason?

PY: Let's see what happens tomorrow night. If they don't show a little more, then you can at least start to get nervous.

Joel (NC):  Pat, I was shocked by Fran Tarkenton's comments about Josh Freeman. He has been inconsistent, but he has also had some stretches were he has played very well. Your thought?

PY: I'm not ready to give up on Freeman. I think there's a lot of talent there.
