Falcons report: White, Snelling still out
By Vaughn McClure
FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. -- As the Atlanta Falcons conducted their final practice before leaving for Arizona, they continued to be without receiver Roddy White and running back Jason Snelling.
Both White and Snelling seem destined to miss Sunday's game against the Cardinals. White, who missed the first game of his career last week, continues to recover from both hamstring and ankle injuries. Snelling injured his ankle.
Also missing from practice was linebacker Stephen Nicholas, who suffered a quad injury last week.
The rest of the team looks relatively healthy for the trip. Running back Steven Jackson was dressed for practice for the third straight day coming off a hamstring injury. Head coach Mike Smith said Jackson had almost a full workload during Thursday's practice.
The following players listed on the injury report were on the field Friday with helmets on: LT Sam Baker (knee), TE Chase Coffman (knee), LB Akeem Dent (ankle), DT Corey Peters (shoulder), cornerback Robert Alford (ankle), and Jackson.
Linebacker Sean Weatherspoon, who was placed on short-term injured reserve with a foot injury, came out to observe practice. Weatherspoon is not eligible to return until Week 11.
Update: Following Friday's practice, coach Mike Smith ruled out WR Roddy White, RB Jason Snelling, and LB Stephen Nicholas for Atlanta's game at Arizona on Sunday. Smith said RB Steven Jackson was probable and OL Sam Baker was questionable.
