'The soul' of New Orleans
By Pat Yasinskas
Wright Thompson has a truly outstanding story about how the Saints have become the soul of New Orleans. I highly recommend you read it, but make sure you carve out some time first because it’s pretty lengthy.
I won’t go into too much detail because Wright has plenty of that. However, one of the interesting themes to the story is the emergence of Rita LeBlanc as part of the ownership structure. She is becoming a powerful figure in the NFL and truly a rising star, who most of us don’t know much about. Wright does a fine job providing some insight into LeBlanc.
