NFC South: Andrew Schulze

Falcons trim roster

August, 24, 2011
Teams don’t have to reduce their rosters from 90 to 80 players until Aug. 30, but the Atlanta Falcons just started the trimming.

The team just announced it has released four players -- punter Ken Parrish, long-snapper Andrew Schulze, tight end A.J. Simmons and fullback Thor Merrow. All four were undrafted free agents.

The most significant news here is the release of Parrish likely means the Falcons are ready to go with Matt Bosher, a sixth-round draft pick, as the punter and kickoff specialist.
