Saints dump troubled players

Memo to the players on the Saints' roster: Don't get in trouble. Especially if you're a fringe player.

The Saints showed just how easy it is to get rid of expendable guys Tuesday when they released receiver Biren Early and tight end Kolo Kapanui. Those two were arrested over the weekend and charged with obscenity, lewd behavior and disturbing the peace. Now, they're out of jobs.

The Saints also announced the signing of three more rookie free agents -- running back Herb Donaldson, tackle Augustus Parrish and receiver Chris Vaughn.
