The Saints just announced that former defensive tackle La’Roi Glover has been added to the team’s Hall of Honor, which is located within the club’s training facility in Metairie.
“La’Roi was a player who made a tremendous impact on our club and was a big part of the team that brought New Orleans its first ever playoff win,” Saints owner Tom Benson said. “He was a favorite of the fans and he is well-deserving of this place among the best players in club history with photos in the hallway where our current players work each day.”
Glover joined the Saints in 1997 and spent five seasons with the team. He had 50 sacks, 318 tackles, 10 forced fumbles and five fumble recoveries.
Glover will be introduced to the current team by coach Sean Payton at Sunday morning’s practice and will be honored right before the kickoff of Monday night’s game at the Super Dome.

Sorry it took so long to post this, but I was tied up with a small emergency. Anyway, New Orleans defensive tackle Anthony Hargrove has been named the NFC defensive player of the week.
Hargrove had two fumble recoveries, including one for a game-sealing touchdown against Carolina on Sunday. This is the first player of the week award of Hargrove’s career. He’s the first New Orleans defensive tackle to earn the award since La'Roi Glover in 2000.
