TAMPA, Fla. -- One of the most fun things about last night was taking part in our NFL Nation Live session. It’s basically a live chat where you can throw out questions and ESPN.com writers, Scouts Inc. guys and ESPN television personalities provide answers or our own thoughts.

Word out of Bristol is we had record traffic last night. Even better news, we’re doing it again tonight. Let’s break last night’s record.

We’re going to kick it off at 6 p.m. ET. I’ll be jumping in and out of there as I update the NFC South blog. Here’s the link to get there. Enjoy.

TAMPA, Fla. -- Two things you need to know before the draft.

1. After playing a little catch with WDAE icon Whitney Johnson with a Nerf ball in the parking lot at One Buc Place, the scouting report goes something like this: Speed isn’t bad for a guy his size, above-average hands, but he throws a spiral that’s only slightly tighter than Tim Tebow's. Plus, Whitney gives the best sports updates I've ever heard several times an hour.

2. Yes, it’s a little boring right now. But it won’t stay that way for long. At 6:45 p.m. ET, I’ll be jumping over to NFL Nation Live, where we’ll be discussing the draft all night long. You can also follow ESPN.com's Draft Cast here.

MIAMI -- I’ll be bouncing between the NFC South Blog and NFL Nation Live throughout the game.

But we’re going to go ahead and start our pregame chat on NFL Nation Live about an hour before kickoff and I’ll be in there for just about that entire time.

Here’s the link for you to join us at NFL Nation Live.

Counting down the hours

AM ET
MIAMI -- Looks like an absolutely gorgeous morning from my hotel window.

Walking down my hall a few minutes ago, I heard a voice from another room yelling something about Bobby Hebert (the former New Orleans quarterback) and then I heard a whole bunch of voices yelling "Who Dat." Sounds like at least one tailgate party has started and why not?

It’s Super Bowl Sunday for a team and fan base that’s never been to one. Might as well enjoy it.

Although the game is still a long way off, I’m starting to get ready. Our ESPN team bus is leaving for Sun Life Stadium at 12:30 p.m. ET because we’re anticipating heavy traffic and long security lines.

Once I get settled into the stadium, I’ll be back with pregame updates on the blog and we’ll also be chatting live during the game on NFL Nation Live.

I’ll be back in touch from Sun Life Stadium in a few hours.

MIAMI – I’m getting ready to watch the Pro Bowl and will be checking in with any developments involving the NFC South.

Our writers who are covering the Pro Bowl will be chatting on NFL Nation Live during the game. Weather could be a real issue in the Pro Bowl. I’m looking out my window and it’s pouring rain right now.

Looking ahead to tomorrow, the Saints are scheduled to arrive in Miami Monday at approximately 11:45 a.m. Coach Sean Payton and six players will meet the media at about 3:45 p.m. I’ll be out there and will bring you all the latest.

Programming notes from Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Just arrived in my hotel and saw no signs of Bill Cowher as I drove through the streets. I didn’t happen to see him in the Tampa airport, either. But I did spot the Georgia Tech basketball team (either that or a bunch or extraordinarily tall guys, who got a great deal on some sharp apparel) hanging out in my hotel lobby.

Anyway, I’ll be covering the Saints and Panthers tomorrow. Is it John Fox’s last game in Carolina? Don’t know, but we’ll find out soon enough. Same for Raheem Morris in Tampa Bay. I’ll have updates throughout the day Sunday and will be chatting on NFL Nation Live during the game.

In a couple of other programming notes, I’m scheduled to be on ESPN Radio at approximately 11:50 a.m. ET on Sunday. Also, shortly after that, I’ll be on the field at Bank of America Stadium, representing the Professional Football Writers of America and proudly presenting the Tom Berry Good Guy Award to Carolina fullback Brad Hoover, who truly is one of the good guys. The presentation is scheduled to take place about 30 minutes prior to kickoff.

ATLANTA -- We’re running a poll over on NFL Nation Live about who should be the NFL’s Most Valuable Player. It’s very close between Drew Brees and Peyton Manning so far.

I’m not telling anyone what to do, but if you’re a New Orleans fan, you might want to cast a vote. Here’s the link.
