NFC South: Saints-Redskins
Seriously. Yeah, I know they got outplayed and their banged-up secondary was horrible. But they were playing the Redskins and even though it took more than 60 minutes to sort out, the better team won.
Call it luck. Call it destiny or call it whatever. I’m not sure what to call it except to say the Saints still are undefeated.
I’m heading downstairs for post-game interviews. I’ll be back in a bit.

I wasn't at New Orleans' 29-24 loss to Washington but, from the sounds of it, I think I've seen that game before.
It sounded a lot like last year the defense struggled and made Washington quarterback Jason Campbell look very good. That's more than a little disturbing because the Saints put so much effort in the offseason into rebuilding their defense.
Sure, the defense looked very good in an opening win against Tampa Bay. It must be noted that linebacker Scott Fujita, cornerback Randall Gay and safety Roman Harper sat out the Washington game with injuries. That's significant because they all were starters in week 1.
But Fujita, Gay and Harper aren't the core of this defense and the Saints shouldn't have dropped off this much in one week. There are going to be more injuries along the way. If the Saints can't get through them, it's going to be like last year all over again.
