When talking about injuries, Carolina coach John Fox frequently (and I mean very frequently) likes to say he’s not a doctor. Neither am I.

But Stephania Bell is our medical expert. She is a board-certified orthopedic clinical specialist and a certified strength and conditioning specialist. She visited Carolina’s camp this weekend and talked with Steve Smith and Jonathan Stewart – and Carolina’s medical staff – about their injuries.

I’ll let you read Stephania’s detailed report, but it sounds like Smith and Stewart should be fine for the start of the regular season.

Carolina Panthers coach John Fox likes to say “I’m not a doctor’’ when asked about injuries to his players.

I’m not a doctor either. But we’ve got Stephania Bell on our staff. She’s a physical therapist who is a board-certified orthopedic clinical specialist and a certified strength and conditioning specialist.

She’s got a very detailed analysis of the broken arm suffered by Carolina receiver Steve Smith during a flag football game. The short version is Stephania doesn’t think Smith’s injury should cause any major problems. Here’s the long version.
