Let’s take a run through some odds and ends from around the division:

TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS

The Bucs have made a lot of minor moves lately, and Stephen Holder writes that they’re building depth and competition. The added depth is particularly important. It hasn’t been a strong point for the Bucs in recent years as they’ve had injuries that forced them to start undrafted rookies and guys off the street. The recent moves should help eliminate that.

NEW ORLEANS SAINTS

BYU defensive lineman Ezekiel Ansah will visit the Saints, according to Larry Holder. Ansah is likely to be gone before the Saints pick at No. 15. But they have to do their homework just in case he slides a bit.

CAROLINA PANTHERS

Eastern Kentucky wide receiver Tyrone Goard has had a private workout with the Panthers, according to his agent. Goard probably is a late-round prospect.

The agent for Nevada safety Michael Williams said his client recently had a private workout with the Panthers.

ATLANTA FALCONS

The team had Florida State defensive end Tank Carradine in for a pre-draft visit. I wouldn’t rule him out as a possibility at No. 30. Yes, the Falcons recently signed Osi Umenyiora, but it wouldn’t hurt to have more than one pass rusher.
